Event Description: The DSC Advocacy Board presents a webinar on Independent Living. This event will provide valuable information about independent living for adults with disabilities, featuring personal stories from the Board’s self advocates, speakers from the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and the Arc of King County, and helpful resources to navigate the independent living journey. This webinar is appropriate for anyone interested in learning more about independent living, including individuals with Down syndrome as well as family members/caregivers.

Funds raised will help send our Advocacy Board to the National Down Syndrome Advocacy Conference in 2025!
The Advocacy Board is raising funds to attend the National Down Syndrome Advocacy Conference in 2025, where Board members will continue to sharpen their self-advocacy skills, learn about legislative priorities relevant to Down syndrome, and meet with their representatives in congress. All funds collected from webinar attendance will be used to support Board members attending the conference.
